i'm looking for 2.8 standard zoom lens (something about 24-70).

I have dx body, but i want to be able to use it on fx when i upgrade, so i want fx lens.

I care more about longer edge - with means i prefer 30-80 than 24-70, for example.

Canon lens is too expensive so i'm looking for third party lens.

You can get the Sigma 24 to 70 2.8. It would work for you.

While you're looking for FX lenses for your Canon body, might as well pick up an L lens for your Nikon.

Sigma and Tamron make affordable alternatives for what you want. You can also look at the older Ls like the 28-80 and 28-70 to save some money.

The Tamron 28-75 is certainly the best choice.
