Former firefighter and prehospital emergency medical healthcare provider (EMS) until an on-scene injury (hit by a car...) put me out of commission. Became a security and private investigation professional as well as patrol canine handler/emergency response unit. Got burned out of that job and am currently going back to school to earn my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, possibly specializing in marketing or as a chartered accountant.

Photography is a hobby that I don't mind earning a few extra bucks here and there with.

Project Architect/Manager for a small Architecture Firm. But the construction industry has been hammered by the economy as of late...so, I am starting to explore more options of using my photography, and it is becoming more of a part time job than a hobby.

I'm an Emergency Room nurse. Photography used to be my business, now a hobby as I relearn everything I've forgotten in the past 25 years...

Later,
Brian

Paramedic/Manager for an ambulance service. The money is damn good, but the hours are too long. I'd love to be able to turn my hobby into something that pays, but I've got alot of learning/improving to do first.

There seems to be quite a few emergency services personnel on this forum, myself included.

I figured there would be, but didn't read through the whole thread. If you work a 24/48 rotation, it leaves lots of time. Unfortunately, I work a 72 hr week with only about 3 or 4 hours down time during a shift, so my off time is spent doing a lot of sleeping.
