Interested in any C&C you all can provide. Unfortunately I still have to take a lot of shots to get the few I'm really happy with. I think these make the cut until you tell me otherwise.:lol:

a little dark or under exposed also a flash might help

Thanks for the comment. They were taken at fairly long length, so I'm not sure a flash would have helped, but it's something for me to try next time.

Second has distracting background. Try to get dog or baby attention so they look at you. You have to be quick of course :) with both subjects. Make funny whistle or groan, dog photos look so much better if they look interested.

A speedlite facing straight forward dialed down to -2 to -3 would probably help.

The background in #2 is distracting IMO. Fill flash would also help a lot here.
