thanks. I did remove the door knob, but was kinda on the fence about the outlet. Guess I'll just ask my client.

One from last night. Had a blast. We were going for some cool looks so I put a grunge look to this one. Let me know what you think. Have a bunch to go through.

AB 1600 with a #20 grid on student camera RT
AB 800-- full power camera left-- sliver 64' parabolic umbrella-- really through out the light
Silver reflector to students rt side reflecting sunlight
backlighting--mother nature

Ok... I didn't realize it was such an important element in the picture.

I kind of like that open outlet.

hi guys I'm a student in our high school and was asked if i wanted to do some senior picts for a lower price then what the company does for our school. the problem is i have never done a real portrait shoot. How do you guys start off if the want some sample photos but you have never shot any? Any tips on shooting? The do's and don'ts ?

I'm a little curious how you got to 10K posts, and you ask this kind of question. Neither here nor there, but still...

My first suggestion is don't tackle an assignment that large when you're not sure where to begin. Second suggestion is to go to the library or google portrait lighting and poses. Start simple, 1 light and a reflector.

I know that my account auto-logs me on every time I visit the site.
