As I expected, I am loving this lens on my new 5DII and it feels as good as the 35 and 135 :D

That's how I felt! I feel it is just as good as L, which is the only reason I haven't upgraded it to the L version.
I was shooting with it on a 50D, but once I bought my 5D I was just blown away.

I've always used my 50mm 1.8 on my 600D for portraits, and I'm planning on buying this lens. Will the focal length annoy me? I've read that it's not that "friendly" on indoor unless the room is large enough. I'm not into indoor portraits but maybe someday I'll need to do that. I've heard that this lens is worth buying :D

my 5 barely sees time on my camera because of this... i bought it for outdoor hockey... but last year it rained too much and was way too cold... and i was still learning my camera....
we will see this year..

if you have a telephoto.. put it on 85mm to get the idea.....

I had a 50 f/1.4 and it was my favorite lens BEFORE the 85mm f/1.8. Once I got the 85mm, I barely used my 50mm.
Although it is a bit short indoors, I find it to be consistently sharp and on-focus, and the bokeh is so creamy!
As you'll notice by my sig, I've now sold the 50mm. ;)

Mine used to love the color purple too :)
Now it loves the color purple somewhere else. In some situations it was unavoidable but there were many times like your example that I just didn't think it should be that bad. Having said that I am thinking about buying another one and really trying to work with it this time to see If I could control it any better this go around.

That purple would be gone in 2 seconds in LR3
