Not really a "stupid idea" exactly, just a ridiculous waste of money on something that should never be on your camera body in the first place. A LENS should always be on it! :)

Well you know what I meant :D It is silly, a nice L weatherproof lens would probably do just as well.

Still expensive for what it is. Probably for some rich guy who buys a 5D and never uses it.

Def. I MIGHT consider such a silly thing for say $20 MAX, just because I can. But any more than that and the possible wow-factor isnt worth it.

I would never spend $80 on that. If I did I may as well go back to buying GF tupperware. I just thought the manufacturing part was cool. I did not realize this was posted before.

But a beautiful piece of lathe work. Not even an O ring to seal it.

This is my idea of a better product. (external link) I use one on both my bodies. The O ring is the advantage, and the 3/8" deep rubber grip. It also aligns with the red spot for mounting. Not attempting to hijack the thread, just to add MHO.

Thats the dumbest piece-of-crap waste-of-money I've seen in a long time. Dumb-to-cost ratio is extremely high.
