You expect to see 16 new/updated lenses next year? I think that's probably about 4x too optimistic.

Read the title. :)

Next year I expect at most 5 new lenses.

The year after that another 5 new lenses at most.

Etc etc.

I categorized them from most likely to least likely. Most likely based on competitive reasons with Nikon and least likely as they are unique to the market.

The title says "of the future" but your post says "these are the lenses I expect to see updated next year" and then lists 16 lenses...how does that equate to 5 lenses next year? No need to reply, I'm just pointing out that your title and post were not clear that this was your 3-5 year road map.

The Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S needs Canon equivalent, my mate has one and it is an utterly lovely bit of gear, I would love to have in my bag

A landscape/nature guy I know shoots all Canon except for that one lens, which he uses with an adapter.

I am looking forward to that to. I have heard that it will be delivered with some cind of tank, carying the lens, the Badonkadonk Land Cruiser (external link). Those two great products will fit together like flowers and bees.

I just can't see Canon upgrading the 135L f2 unless it's to push it to f1.8. The current one is brilliant and one of the least to suffer from sample variation.

I'd like to see a new 35L II but only to improve the CA. The 24-70 is my biggest hope for a replacement!
