If I am shooting for Maxpreps I wear one of their shirts. Same goes for LSCSN.COM. Their shirts are red w/logo on back.

If you got distracted to the point of wanting to have a tantrum then you are a strange kiddy. Nikon Imposter!

If you got distracted to the point of wanting to have a tantrum then you are a strange kiddy. I do admit he could choose a better shirt to wear (black) but hey, not as if he was asking them to pose or stand in particular spots whilst they were performing. To the OP if you want to look "professional" just get some large lenses and a second camera body over your shoulder, that'll fool Joe Blow. I'd rather take images that make people think I'm a professional rather than wearing clothes that make me look professional. part of being a professional in the media world is producing professional work while not interfering with what you are capturing. i wouldnt wear a black t-shirt and slacks if i was covering a black tie event... i would wear a suit. and i have done black tie events. professionals blend in and attempt to avoid standing out although large white lenses do stand out but you stand out more if you are wearing a orange shirt and tan pants when everything around you is black. if you are dressed appropriately you are more likely to get repeat business and new business than if you dress like a bum

I think rockdog's post was less about the color of the shirt, and more about how the photographer ACTED. It appears he acted as if it were a rehearsal performance with no audience... A man standing right in front of you (See his photos) with a flashing camera going off will be distracting, ESPECIALLY when you yourself are a photographer. True for many events, but you still shouldn't wear a tie-dye Dale Earnhardt t-shirt. www.jaffe.photo
