My wife and I went to the apple orchard this weekend to take some family photos. I really struggled with dappled sunlight through the short trees and with changing ambient conditions. The sun was behind and out from clouds every few seconds, making manually lighting really challenging. Critique is welcomed and appreciated!

A shallower DOF would have made them better IMO.

I agree with rsieminski. I don't know if it's just a super long-running trend, but portraits look nicer when the background is out of focus.

Very nice. I love the "sock-shoes". Really like #3. Beautiful baby boy. Look at him lookin' at the camera. Darling.

Thanks Starbright! I left the background recognizable because I wanted to show the orchard. If I had obliterated it to blur it would just look like any other green background. Though, from this board and another, the blurred background is obviously the preferred look. :D
