Hello everyone!

This is my first post in this part of the forum, I've been watching for hawks flying near my home for a little over a year now. I think I've been lucky enough to be honored with one living in the wooded portion of my property and had always looked for opportunity's to photograph it.

Well, I got lucky enough on Sunday that my 7yo daughter spotted it perched up on her Rainbow playset while I was getting some stuff ready to paint my shed.

Here are two shots that I'd have to say are my two best bird shots ever or maybe my favorites since I've always had a thing for predator birds since childhood.

1)Soft due to 2XTC I think.....

Great shots of a young Red-tailed Hawk. Notice the dark breast-band and the widely spaced tail bands.

Thanks for comments and ID.....I'm about 99.9% positive this little guy lives in my backyard. Hoping he'll be a long term neighbor and keep us clear of all the field mice and ground hogs living in the area.
