hey David, how would you figure out the rate to charge an Art Gallery that wants pictures taken for their web site and advertisement? no prints of anything involved.

and just to make this somewhat 60D related i might borrow my buddies 60D for some shots.

Charge what you think your work is worth. Would you buy one of your picture to advertise for 20$? How about 100$? 800$? Look at their website and analyse it. Do you think they have a big publicity budget or it's an el'cheapo website?

Do not undercharge yourself, you'll regret it later.

This was taken WELL before the announcement of the Contest.

Yes, ef lenses are built for full frame but can also be used on crop. Canon marks the mount point on ef-s lenses with a white square and of course they cannot be used on full frame without huge vignetting and sometimes mirror slap. (mirror hits the back of the lens)

If your considering full frame, definitely stick with ef lenses. (mount point has red dot)

Thanks for confirming this Hardcore.

Yohooooo!!! all my 3 lenses has red dots...

Well hold on though... 3rd party lenses don't count. Most of them put red dots on their lenses. Of your 3 lenses the 50mm is the only one that is ff compatible.

Dang it! Do you recommend sticking to canon ef lenses in that case?

I would not fixate on what dots lenses have. EF, EFS, 3rd Party etc they all have their ups and downs.

If looking to keep glass that will be able to go with you when you move to FF stick with the following.

FULL FRAME:
Canon EF
SIGMA DG
Tokina FX
Tamron (dosnt seem to make alot for FF, as their Di series was built for crop)

CROP:
Canon EF-S
Sigma DC
Tokina DX
Tamron Di

Remember this is just a guidline, as some lenses are interchangeable between crop/ff (with caveats as mentioned by Mr. Hardcore) but most are made for the specific purpose of one or the other.

Hope that helps!

Nice series Bberg, I love the Vignette on the first, it works well IMO, and the last Candid is very poignant.
