Anyone in here have a Canon 85mm f1.8? I'm thinking about buying one and would like some input.

Really great lens. As someone said, if your budget permits it, try to reach for Sigma's 85mm. An awesome lens for portraits.

But if you are more into sports shooting, I'd recommend you Canon's 100mm F2. You get more reach and it's auto-focus is fast.

Let us know your choice ;)

So having a little problem with my camera. I took some 25-30 second exposures last night in the bulb mode and after I let off the remote the red light on back stayed on for another 10-15 seconds then the review pic would pop up. Before when I had taken exposures that long they pop right up to review. I thought it was my card having too much info so I put in a new card fresh out of the package, formatted it and still go the same thing. Did a reset on it and still not going away. Anyone ever have this?

I may be way off base here, but do you have Long-Exposure Noise Reduction turned on?

WTF?? PayPal is giving the seller until Oct 4 to post a response... Guess I won't be getting a 60D this week either, unless the seller decides to actually ship the camera.

Utoh. Watch out. The ricers are going to come out and smack us down! heheh

I drive a ricer. Well, sort of. '89 Toyota Supra with a turbo LS1 in it.

I used to own it and upgraded to the Sigma 85 1.4. What'd you wanna know about it? It's still a great gem to own as a portrait lens or anything else for that matter!

I'm just looking for known problems, how the autofocus is on the 60D, etc. I've looked around in the lens subforum but it's 100+ pages of some info and a lot of photos.

I use my 70-200L for action stuff, so that's not a problem. It's going to be used for automotive stills. I would LOVE to buy the 1.4. But I would not like the price tag associated with it haha.

luv my 60d, upgraded from XTi. like the built-in wireless flash! takes great video
wish there is a shortcut to change wireless manual flash and switching between video and creative mode is a pain

Yep, it's true. Stock long block on 6psi with a Borg Warner 66mm through a built auto and it made 415hp/446tq with a very conservative tune.

I've always been kinda partial to the Toyo's. Probably because everyone in my family drove Hondas and Datsuns, while i was growing up. Still love my Max though. But, it was built in USA...Needless to say, lots of rattling going on after almost 5yrs. Probably won't buy Nissan, again.

So, it's been raining nonstop all day. The one day I wanted to go play with the nifty 250 to get my much needed fix. I got bored and decided to play around with flash. Not a very good attempt. But, meh. At least it kept me occupied for a whole 20 minutes.

Not sure I'll have to check. What does it do? I used the factory reset button in the menu to reset it to the way I used it when I first got it and tried LE shots.
