I hope it has nothing to do with the 7D, which I bought 2 days ago. Please let it be something I don't care about.

We never speculate about the announcement of the 5D MkIII. Where did you get that idea?

;)

The graphic for the event looks like it was taken with a 7D .... it's out of focus ;)

I think if Canon replaced the 7D before the 5D MKII people's heads would explode. Including mine.

No! The 5D is the one with the AF problems. The 7D is just noisy.

Seriously, I have to admit I am a little bit excited about this one.

Maybe I should have said it was taken with "My 7D" ;-)a

But yes, it will be interesting to see what Canon have to offer.

Think "chrome body" for the entire EOS lineup. Didn't cost them a ton of R & D money to do it, and yet the dazzle factor will instantly mezmerize us into taking our wallets out and spending large.

They will introduce a camera that features more megapixels and more shadow banding. I'm soooo there!

It's for a new printer - I am pretty sure. Read the announcement and look at the PIXMA logo at the bottom. Of course, I hope that I am wrong:-)

It also has an EOS logo on it, though.
