I actually may agree with you, though I never stopped to think it could be the high resolution of the camera.
I'm considering renting a Canon L 24-70 or 24-105 just to see if the IQ is that much better. Sometimes I'm a little disappointed in the results of my 18-270. But that could also be caused by my lack of PP skills and/or overall lack of capability as a photographer...
You cannot compare those L lenses with the Tamron. I think you need to work on your PP. When I first started posting in this thread, everybody told me my lens was off, too soft or whatever. Needless to say, I never sent it in but instead worked on my settings, composition and of course PP. Weeks later I was getting praise but I was also taking a lot more pictures instead of pixel peeping at every picture I was taking.... Practice, practice practice I say and don't be afraid to experiment with your settings until you find the comfort spot of this lens.
