First off, some excuses () - didn't recieve my CPL for my 70-200 for this shoot, so the reflections are all over the place.

Secondly, this was my first time shooting a car with an external, off the camera flash. I don't have any umbrellas/softboxes/stands etc yet, so my friend who owns the car had to act as my light stand. Had to piece different photos together in PS afterwards.

Since I saved the pics in 1400-wide res, see the link for the photos:

A preview so this post isn't entirely photo-less :)

I would also like to add that this is also the first time I've ever done any serious B&W/grayscale/color-less PP.

Nice shots. I like the first one a lot. I wish those cars would come to the States.

Are you sure it's the Scirocco you've seen? I have never seen this car in Arizona or anywhere else in the US. It is not listed on the VW USA website - I'm pretty sure it is not being imported into the US - unfortunately.

Wow, what a beautiful color, car and the picture! Because of the bokeh it looks like a miniature model. :)

Very nice work, and I agree, that's a great looking hatch.

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.

It's so different to the previous Scirocco! Looks smaller yet they're about the same size!

Yay! A Rising Blue Scirocco :) That's what I drive here in the UK, same colour but it hasn't got those awesome wheels. It's an amazing car. Now to get some decent photos of it, watch this space....

Awesome shots of a cool car, lighting looks great to me.
How far away were the flashes? When I tried shooting bare flashes on a car I get major reflections.
