Does anyone use an ipad or tablet for their portfolio? I am a pastry chef at my full time job and they have given all of us an ipad for our wedding cake portfolio and it has worked really nice for that. The customers seem to like it and it displays pictures nicely. So I thought it might work nice for my photography portfolio.

Any one do this?

I love it. Mine is always with me. I like being able to pull it out and show extremely high resolution images.

Same here as far as loving it. Especially with younger (high school seniors, young b&g) clients. Showing them their shots on a medium that they will most likely be using is huge to them. I just finished a wedding where no prints were ordered by b&g. They gave digital photo viewers to their parents as a thank you gift with all their wedding photos uploaded on it.

I love my i-pad.

Its a very good way of showing people your portfolio. Easy to maintain too. Just upload your new pics into the folder, sync, é presto!

I use mine in sync with my smugmug site so everything that I have there in folders is sync the exact same way on my Ipad.

Don't have an ipad, but isn't the glossy screen really bad?

Yea. I host all the photos on my website on zenfolio and they have a really nice app that integrates with an iPad.

Does anyone do this with another tablet and not the Ipad? I was curious about this software/application that allows you to sync your Smugmug with the tablet. I'm not an Apple fanboy so I would rather stay away from the Ipad, if possible.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

What are the options to transfer the photo files from PC to iPad ?

(I had always thought this was harder to do since the iPad didn't have a USB or card slot?)
