Finally sold my 135L tonight. It's been fun guys! I've got a few more shots taken with this that I'll edit this weekend and post up.

The ratio reminds me of Shining Time Station, the conductor specifically (who was played by George Carlin).

To be fair, the perspective afforded by the 135mm really accentuated the 'size' of that portrait, something I was going for intentionally.

Mao's figure is (thankfully) not that salient throughout contemporary China. Besides Tiananmen Square, it's rare to find other places with such in-your-face commemoration. His cult of personality was largely dismantled once the reformist Deng regime came into power in 78'.

shot through dirty patio glass... but I thought they were funny & I haven't shared in here in quite awhile. Perhaps I'll have more to share later, I have a shoot today, I'm thinking I'll use this lens only, I usually just use my 50 (don't know why, I used my 135 99% of the time on vacation, love it)
