Also, a heads up for everyone, I knew this but didnt mind, but Bank of America charges 60 bucks on top of the charge for the currency conversion. My bank on the other hand, charges 43 and my credit union.... zero dollars. :D

That is if you used a credit card, right? This wouldn't be an issue with paypal I'm assuming.

Also, I didn't realize the price was displayed in CAD. When converted to USD the price actually came down to $1,978.75 :D

Cyrus, thats correct. Im not sure how paypal deals with that.

And yes, the price is slightly cheaper since its CAN vs. US.

Just ordered one from Galaxy Camera via Ebay for $1999 + $65 shipping via Canada Post Xpresspost. Charged in USD, Paypal says $0 commissions and fees. I got tired of waiting for Henry's or Vistek to get new stock. The Ebay and Paypal protection makes me feel a little better about such a large purchase... now the wait begins!

Not one that uses EBay too much, did you get that through EBay itself, or some other way? Do I just check out EBay for "new 5D Mark II"?

I just searched Ebay for "5D Mark II". There was a seller with "Buy New from $1999" and I saw they were located in Canada. 3800+ feedback with 99.9% positive feedback seemed like a legit deal.

Of course I had to look it up... :)

Says there is 6 left. Will see what happens... I also have a 5Dc currently at Canon for cleaning and once-over, as soon as I get it back I will sell it to help the purchase.

Still about $500 less than if I got a new one locally, or almost as much difference on Amazon.
