This past Sunday and Monday I returned to Nopiming Provincial Park in Manitoba for 2 days of shooting autumn colours. I finally got some cloud action. Which I was hoping for. It was for the most part a great experience except for one major tragedy. While wrapping it up on day 2 in this area to go off to a new area my camera decided to fall off the tripod I was carrying and take a 6tf fall to the ground. I am ALWAYS making sure my clamps and everything are tight when carrying it this way but I guess the knobs got knocked loose moving it from one shoulder to another. So instead of heading to the next location I was heading to the big city to replace my UWA lens. Not a great way to spend the rest of the day. I am still rather bummed out over it all. Considering I just quit my job to go on my own I sure didn't need to spend $1000 on a lens.

Thankfully, the screw on filter, filter holder and GND that were attached and were the impact point didn't get damaged on the fall.

Here are a few that Ive processed so far. More to follow when I can.

Enjoy!

Excellent as always. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I think it would be #4. It has the brightest, most vivid fall color of the group. #1 would be a close second.

Nothing but praise for these. All are just outstanding. Congrats on moving out on your own too - good luck!

I always admire your pictures, they are works of art. You have such a talent and eye for composition. I also wanted to say I am sorry for the loss of the len. That really sucks but I know that anyone who brings beauty to the world like you do with your pictures, will be just find on their own.

Just beautiful, as already said, too hard to pick a favourite out of them. Bummer about the lens though, hope you got it sorted.

Thank you all very much for the kind words. Greatly appreciated!

I was thinking of heading back to this area tomorrow but the winds are very strong and with the dry dry conditions there are a few fires in the area. Might not be a great idea to go.
