First stab at speedlights outside I have no clue what I'm doing and it shows but here are a few that I like. I'm horrible at skin

what kind of lighting did you use? off Camera with Stands & triggers or just direct? I'm wanting to invest in some gear to do similar outdoor shoots just want to keep it simple I I like these alot

'

In order of photos/lens all Canon from first post
85 1.8
50 1.4
300 4.0

I used a wescott 28" soft box with the 530 speedlight in the front and off behind to the side a 430 with an orange gel taped to the front. (sampler pack $2.99 whole bunch of colors bhphoto)

Much harder to shoot with speedlights outside than I thought and those who do it well really make it look easy.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. I shot a lot keeper rate not as high as I would like and I was unable to beat the sun to show the water/detail behind the ladies in some of the shots

Here are a few more one is the same photo but in color. I think I like the bw better other than the light on her hair. Both with the 300 f4
