Even if you didn't like him, you can't deny that he and apple have helped influence the personal computer and cell phone industry in a positive way.

The iPhone brought new life to the smart phone industry, and gave us a form factor that is pretty awesome.

Yeah I saw that... Even though we all (most of us, assuming) knew he was sick, you just never thought it was gonna happen.

Interesting read of his speech on mortality...

I just heard and am in shock. This is an extremely sad day for Apple lovers. The world has lost a man of great vision and extraordinary intellect. Rest in peace Steve and my grateful thanks for your wonderful gift to the world.

Yeah, it's still "breaking news" -- and sad news indeed..

MSNBC is into its second hour of coverage -- a lot of very cool video being played, among other things...

A few years ago, was App even in anyone's vocabulary? Now, 18 BILLION apps downloaded. An important part of many peoples' lives.

This man knew what you wanted before you knew what you wanted.

My condolences go out to his family and friends. Very sad day.

If you haven't seen it, watch Jobs' commencement speech from 05 at Stanford. He speaks a lot of death in it, very insightful. RIP
