I've tried the flash 'thing' enough to know it doesn't work (for me) and prefer to use dimable tungstens so I can augment the lighting and atmosphere - blending my added light until it's right. I've given up on big tungstens and now use 250w bulbs and don't use brollies but use heavy diffusion/frost gels. I think a tripod is a must as is a higher ISO. Hope that helps :)

I use halogen light myself to get warm red-ish colours when i photograph small things like my gear, but i haven't developed it.

Thanks, it's just one shot... I am not a fan of selective coloring but I thought it would be nice for that shot and I liked it, my client loved it she was very excited about it

I stay surprised by the sharpness of this lens wide open and the colours it gives. This is not a top photo but I wanted to post something from this lens :p I didn't had a lots of time to get my camera out these days since there is a lot of rain now :(
