My very first post on this thread. This thread contains a lot of astonishing shots...and I would like to contribute this shot of mine so I could develop myself with multipe strobes.

This one is from last weekend when I was visiting my friends. This little man spend his first birthday (1yr) and he's parents asked me to take some "great birthday photos" of him. So that came right out of the blue to me and I haven't prepared for that at all (I haven't even played with multiple strobes that much). I got my speedlights and gels with me so we put a white sheet behind him, some carpets and gave him his favourite toy - a rocking horse to play with :)

It was really difficult to prevent that backround to wash out, because it was white.

EOS 7D + EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, 1/200 at f/5,6 ISO 400. A Metz AF-1 50 camera right as a main light, YN-468 camera left as a fill and a YN-468 with blue gel camera left, pointed to the backround.

Sorry, I don't remember the speedlights power rates at all

So, any C&C?

For Your Entertainment (external link) by headshotzx (external link), on Flickr

Violinist Haowei Lim, from an entertainment company in Singapore, on assignment at a wedding reception.
Commissioned by Musical Chairs, SG.

This was really hard to get as there was no way I could get both areas lit up properly with a single on-camera flash. The ambient was 1/15 f2.8 at ISO3200. Mad stuff! Good thing I brought a YN560, so I put it on optical (manual power) mode, set it on a light stand inside the reception/tea ceremony area pointing up, and balanced it with the flash lighting the violinist (ETTL).
