Just wanted to see how many people we've got from DFW here on the forums. Would be nice to shoot with other people occasionally. :)

Surprised there isnt an "official" thread for DFW yet, as big as it is here, so figured i'd start one!

Just moved to The Colony a few months ago, and it seems safe enough to go outside without risk of death now :p

Howdy y'all!!

Anyone got any recommended places to go with great landscape/architecture etc?

There is an excellent list of places for good locations for photo opportunities on the Arlington Camera website:

It depends on which side of 121 you are in the colony. Up by pier 121, or across the lake at stewert creek park are some ok, outdoor type places. In fact along the lake front are a few decent places. other than that I'm in the colony and still looking for places also

LOL! I know you would, Butch! My mom enjoyed chatting with you. Thanks again for making the trek down there, it was great to see you (although I feel like I didn't get to talk to you very much)

Fine - make me feel like the crap I already do...(lol)

But I agree - Texas is pretty unremarkable photographically, unless you put Todd miles of your car...

I plan to hit the state fair but as always my back pain is what makes the final decision on outings.
