I shot my daughter's Level 5 gymnastics meet last week with my Canon 40D, 1.8 85mm. I shot auto focus center point in AV mode with auto white balance and ISO 1250.
I just lightened them up a bit in Picasa but they are SOOO grainy. What am I doing wrong? I don't know anything about white balance or RAW but if someone can just tell me exactly what settings with what buttons and dials I need to adjust, I would really appreciate it.
I also have a Tamron 2.8 zoom but it seems kind of fussy so I don't like to use it. I've browsed other forums and threads about gymnastics photography but I get overwhelmed by the technical talk...I'm just a mom with a nice camera that I don't know how to use. A lot of people have such sharp photos that aren't so grainy...help!
Thank you so much!
