Buy a new one. It's cheap.

This is going to be my standing procedure for all lenses that fail or disappoint me:

I meant to do this with my broken Mk II but never got around to it.

Ive already got a new one. But seeing if anyone has any DIY things for it. DIY meaning theyve made it into say a fisheye or the likes. But an ashtray is alright for it haha Only if i could Mike Deep. Looks like fun

If you're trying to make it a fish eye, would AF matter on a lens you're just messing around with?

Sounds fun though...I still have that 50, maybe I should try this! Got a link to how it's done? :D

I'd probably try throwing it up on ebay and earn "something" out of it. Paying for repairs is most likely not worth it. Depending on what's wrong with it, spending the time and effort trying to fix it might not be worth it as well.

Maybe get a reversing ring and use it attached to the front of another lens?

Was thinking that jcox10. Might have a look round for some.

Paolo.Leviste: Havent found a DIY yet but ive just been trying it and its hard to get the focus right on it. Its like using a lensbaby with no focus ring as my track for the focus is broken too

Hah! Maybe I shouldn't have put mine back together again, and just sanded all those parts down so I can tilt/twist/turn the element to create a type of lens-baby. Great idea!

What to do with a broken 50 mm? Throw it at someone on the dark side.

When did voluptuous become voluminous?
