Nice to see some of Deltics! My first job was creating the timetables for the East Coast and I used to get the occasional footplate ride on a Deltic, always my favourite and what an awesome noise. Lovely shots.

Just to show how the years pass by, it was celebrating the 50th anniversary of the deltics. They had five of the six preserved deltics running the services that day.

I love the East Lancs. Everyone raves about the NVR or the NYMR but I think the ELR is the best preserved railway in the country. They know how to put on a fantastic gala.
