(Ignoring the ignore instruction) what is your first language? If it is Rumanian then accept my compliments on the quality of your written English.

This post made me feel so well that I took a break from my 22 exercises (i'm at exercise 16) to thank you... (yes it's romanian) but i have been learning english for like 11-12 years... (i'm 14 now)

I have now decided that I have enough persuasive capabilities to use my recent sickness and get away with doing only part of my homework... So, I'm free... ;)

... Others call them French Fries but all things French are now banned from the Rice household after France knocked Wales out of the rugby world cup yesterday.

He better make the most of it, New Zealand have just destroyed Australia in the second semi final so things will be very tough for France next week in the final.

When out with friends to a wine and food festival. Had a great time.:) Lots of different liquor to sample, not just wine. Lots of tasty treats from local restaurants. It seems that lots of women leave their hubby's at home and come out in droves all dressed to the max. This only added to the enjoyment of the evening. :p

Off now to our land to take some stuff out their, and bring back some stuff. We are bringing back a bunch of river rocks to do some landscaping with. seeing we have a quite a few acres worth along the river, piled real deep, a few won't be missed.

RAZ, nice shots.

Here, you'd have to file an environmental impact report and get permits if you planned on moving rocks, both from where you're removing them, and where you plan to deposit them. (unless you're a glacier, of course. They're allowed to deposit rocks wherever they wish.)

Chief, if you need rocks, come by my place. We grow them here. All you can take with you. Free. No EIR required.

On the other hand, if you want to paint your roof a light color to reflect the sunlight/heat, you will need an EIR.

When we bought our home in the Almaden Valley, our yard was all river rock. We tried digging/raking them by hand; the project went on for months, and for all that trouble, we hadn't made any meaningful progress at all. We hired a guy with a Bobcat, and it only bounced off them. We finally got a guy with a BIG tractor, and he dug out about a foot of it, and replaced it with usable topsoil. To this day, "Raking Rocks' is our code for absolutely futile activity.

Here we have a mix of volcanic soil, adobe clay, and river/creek rocks. Every spring hundreds of new rocks appear, having been pushed up by the hydraulic effect of the wet clay soil. The mowing of the wild grass in the spring generally results in the loss of at least one or more mower blades when they hit a "new" rock.

We pulled out about 3 cubic yards of rock when we dug the foundation for our remodel project. They're going to become part of a water feature in the garden next year.

 :p ;)

River rock sounds nice are they the smooth black kind? Here we use field rock, what ever the plows and/or discs turn up most farmers throw into a pile. I have 2 gardens bordered with them.

The voice was back just enough to pull of the alto part in this morning's anthem. I'll see how it holds up this afternoon. The main thing is I'm through the clogged head feeling, now just have to wait out the lingering symptoms that are like pesty little gnats.
