Go for the S95 now or wait until for the S100?

It wasn't when I called, but that was a couple of weeks before the announcement of the S100.

I'm waiting for some reviews before jumping on the s100 train. I think getting an s95 now and selling it later is a decent idea if you're willing to jump through those hoops.

Personally, I'm hoping for the iPhone 4s to be able to hold me over until s100 reviews are out.

Probably a stupid question, but does the S95's (and thus, probably, the S100's) flash pop up when you turn it on with flash already turned off?

it extends and retracts automatically when you make the settings.

when I just had it, my finger often got caught in between the flash and ouch it is . :-(

Optical zoom yes, we're not sure on AF yet.

Honestly, I think if I can find it for $320ish like Amazon had it listed for.a few days ago (I didn't see it in time) I will probably stick.with the S95. This is, after all, just my back up point and shoot. My 7D will still be my main go to camera, so I don't need the best of the best. I am still waiting for reviews though.

By default, the flash is off and retracted when it turns on. Only when you turn the flash on does it pop up.

You can buy an s100 now at some Best Buy's. I bought mine yesterday. Several people on dpreview have purchased them as well.

Don't take the s95 shots to seriously, as I think there may be something wrong with my s95. But I posted a couple iso800 and iso1600 shots here -

Awesome, thanks for the link...whether your S95's a bad copy or not, the S100 seems to perform rather well! Thanks for your efforts in putting those pictures up!! :)
