Any good?
Someone has listed the following unused setup locally on craiglist:
(3) Halogen Lights (650W)
(3) Light Stands
(2) Softboxes
(1) Backdrop Stand (2 Stands + Crossbar)
(2) Carrying Bags

They're ok if you need shop lights, though (This is not a brand issue, it's a halogen issue. They create a lot of heat and not much light). This is a guess, but the softboxes are probably designed to fit the halogen lights and won't be much good for use with studio strobes. If they can be used with any kind of speed ring, then there'd be no reason they can't be used with strobes. I have a softbox (actually an octobox) which I use with my video halogen lights but it's perfectly suitable for use with my strobes also. All I need to do is to swap out the speed ring. ...Leo
