Hi all,

I recently purchased the Canon 100-400 lens for birding and various wildlife shots. So much to learn and I need a lot of practice, but I'd like to share some of my first successful captures with the lens. My apologies for the lack of interesting content, but I still find all birds beautiful even if these subjects are rather plentiful :)

Nice shots, I especially like the gull number 2. A really nice well exposed portrait.

Congrats on your purchase, and it looks like your learning curve won't be too steep. I love the gull portrait and it stands out perfectly against the background.

Looks good, especially the 'portraits' :) Looks like you're getting along well with the new hardware...

All birds *are* beautiful. It's just what you said, that some are more common than others so people tend to think less of them. Wrong attitude of those people if you ask me... :) Anyway, I love gulls and like your gull portrait in particular, but all these shots are pretty good. Looks like you have a real nice lens there. Congratulations!
