So... why do you kit a Micro-4/3 in a way that it becomes almost as big as a DSLR?

It's still smaller than my D7K which is pretty small and also has features it does not. Plus it's not my goal to keep it as small as possible otherwise I would get a P&S. BTW, it's not a m-4/3 camera.

Almost as big as a DSLR? You do realise that that CV 40/1.4+adapter is actually smaller than the kit lens? Of course the the EVF adds a bump on top, but it's removeable if you need a more compact package.

dgrPhotos: I see that you have both the 35 and 40mm Noktons. May I ask why? They're really close in focal length.

I bought the 40 at a price I couldn't refuse. This gives me the option to play with both and see which I prefer.

That's a pretty ridiculous thing to say, even if it was the size of a DSLR the smaller size isn't the only reason people buy them. For example that lens can't be mounted on any DSLR and the NEXs are the best bodies for manual focussing.

Butch, that's awesome. Would love to own that one day :)

Between, what's in the lithe pouch on the left side of your 1D?

external high-voltage power-pack for the flash for quicker recycling.

^ What he said... Recycle time @ full power cuts it by more than 1/2... So instead of waiting 4 seconds for the flash to be ready again, it take about 1.5 seconds... Much faster recycling time if you're on ETTL or 1/4 power and lower....

:D

Plus it's loads of fun, especially when everything is done manually.
