Anyone have ever do a rig shot with suction cup on Carbon Fiber hood? Doing one for a Golf R with cf hood, just need assurance everything will be fine with suction on hood.

I have not personally done it, but have seen it done. The carbon fiber should have a coating of paint or clear so that should give you a nice sealed surface to pull a vacuum.

Some of the CF hoods I've seen are quite flexible so the suction could be compromised, if you can double up the cups at the end and repump frequently.

Thanks, it was just a test shot and I ended up editing it, I guess I just looked over the grill. Are you talking about the silver piece on the hood?

Used a CPL? I kinda see the rainbow on the headlight caused by the CPL, but the reflections are still there on the car.

I always use a CPL when shooting cars, unless it's at night. In this case the CPL wasn't used to eliminate the reflections, but rather to move them where I wanted. Worked like a charm, just like always.
