Wow, so young. 1987. Just as young as my little brother, yet with so much talent.

Wow had no clue. I haven't watched many races this year but that's insane. First Wheldon and then Marco... rough week in motorsports.

Such a tragic death.. RIP Marco

Also my thoughts are with Colin and The Doctor, nothing you could do guys, A racing accident

Very sad time for Motorsport:(

Yeah I feel for those guys, especially Rossi who was good friends with Marco and in fact called him his "little brother". On another note I am still amazed that Rossi was able to keep his motorcycle up and on two wheels. The whole thing is just terrible.

Best, Bruce

It's a huge loss for MotoGP. The massive outpouring of support and emotion expressed by his fans and colleagues throughout this last week highlights just how huge a draw-card he was and even that status was set to grow by virtue of his talent (fast learner and future World Champ many were sure) and his great charisma (and lets not forget that hair!).

Here's a nice little blog by Kevin Schwantz about Marco if you have time - http://www.superbikeplanet.com …Oct/111024-34-rip-sic.htm (external link)

Thanks for the read. I wonder how Rossi is feeling. I know he couldn't have done anything but I would imagine the guilt is still unbelievably overwhelming.
