Yes it is. Though not as sealed as a 1D* or a 7D. It's similar to a 5D2.

It's a cold shoe and it has a little sync cord that goes with it. The biggest problem is you have to cut and roll your own film, I made cutter for cutting down 35mm to fit in it's little bulk load canisters.

It's uses 16mm. The shots aren't that bad a bit grainy but the camera has no light leaks and the optics are not bad. For being such a little camera it's a brick and that little 40mm is pretty heavy with good size glass. I will have to see if I can find some of my old shots with it.
