thanks very much! yeah, it was about 2 hours per photo...pretty time consuming, but i loved the building and wanted to do a rig shot with it!

@Theo - Wonderful work. Those Z06 shots are gorgeous!

I recently moved to New York City. I don't have a car currently, so it's a little tough to make friends, scout locations, transport the gear, etc. So, I haven't used the rig in a long time, but here are my newest edits which I recently completed. Looking back, there are some shooting aspects I would have done differently for each of these, but that's part of photography (especially rig photos), we are always learning. These were kind of done on the fly, also. I wish I would have paid more attention to certain details. CC - is always appreciated. :)

nice shot! the reflections look really good. i would maybe adjust the levels a little to brighten it up a little bit and maybe some curves adjustments to make the photo pop. good work!

I think i'm going to start making my rig soon.

Does anyone use the 17-40L for their shots? It's going quite cheap, well, I say cheap, it's still around £500.

And roughly, how long are everybodys booms? I was thinking of making a one piece carbon one, but then it would never fit in the car!

I do. Even on a 1.3x crop sensor, it's still not wide enough for me on my 16 foot boom.
It's going to be even worse on a 1.6x crop sensor.

If you have a 550D, I suggest the Canon 10-22mm. The only lens I regret selling.
