Wow, as if wanting more Dslr gear wasn't bad enough... just noticed that GoPro released a new Hero HD2 that's way better than the first, and they're coming out with a wi-fi back for it so you can control it and remote view from your smartphone... to anybody that's into autocross, or sports... this thing is awesome! lol, more money going bye-bye soon I'm afraid... :(

This is what I've just ordered :D Unfortunately for me, it seems we're being shafted on the price in the UK. It's $300 or £300 which isn't the same thing...

1st time shoot with flash 430EXII ..any comment

QUOTED IMAGE

Looks like your flash was pretty direct..? Try putting it higher then your model next time and have it point down a bit, it'll give better results. The shadows on her face will look more natural. Was this bare flash?

I would also have slowed your shutter speed a bit more to let more light from ambient in. Sky is a tad dark for my taste, but that might be what you were going for ;)

Let me know if you want more constructive critique ;)

Did you do any noise reduction on this. I just got a 60D and my images at 400 ISO do not look this clean. Does the original look this clean when viewed at 100%?

Nice shot. Really like the backlighting on her hair from the sun. I'd add some exposure and vibrance. Paint the outside foliage with saturation. Vignette it so the highlights pop and bit more. Takes about a minute in lightroom.

Exactly! The sooc picture was already very great, nicely exposed, sharp, good use of dof and perfectly framed. It was just missing the magical touch :)

I'd print that for sure, would make a great 11x14 :D
