I picked up one (rather, it is waiting for me until Monday) at the Best Buy near my work. Only two BB within a 150 mile radius had any in stock yet. The one close to my house has one in route, but they didn't know when it would arrive. The woman who i spoke with said the official release date wasnt until Oct. 23, so I don't think they are supposed to sell them until that date, but she went ahead and did.

My best buy is clueless about the whole thing. I've asked twice and they only know it exists because I asked them to look it up. They went to bestbuy.com like anyone else. Arg.

Thank you. bw!

Just bought the last S100 in my local BB. Ended up being $415 after tax, using the 10% off coupon. Keep in mind they DIDN'T have it on display, but did have it in their stock room, so make sure you ask someone to check.

Very small, very light, have to use the hand strap or else I'd drop it all the time...but I love it. Unlike my G11 (now for sale), I can fit this into my shirt pocket and not even know it's there. Initial photos look good, though I just got it a couple of hours ago so haven't really tested it much.

They're finally starting to show up in the Atlanta area. Sure wish it was a wee bit cheaper.

Anyone able to find any thorough reviews yet?

Thank you. bw!

Just picked up one in Warwick, RI. They have one more. 10% off coupon worked. If anyone wants comparison pics I also have a 40D.

I don't need one because I've already tried it out to an extent that I'm satisfied with my purchase :D So many little things to be happy about. Both functionally, and as far as the new build layout. The thing I'm most impressed with is the ISO. Very, very clean right up to 1600-3200. 6400 isn't spectacular, but I'd happily use it in a pinch.

Also very much like the zoom capability and auto AF while recording video--both sorely missing on the s95.

The build differences may not seem like much, but it's a major improvement. The mode button now scrolls all the way around. Front grip is slightly more useful. The front wheel has less play and is thinner. The rubber speaker grip on the rear gives you a grip for your thumb. The rear buttons are better.

On a whim I called my local BB earlier today and they have one! It makes for a long day at work knowing it's just sitting there on hold waiting for me to take it to it's new home. :D

Guys, do all of your serial numbers start with 292010000xxx? I'm betting they're in sequence--looks like I got body# 450.

Looks like I got 496. The serial starts with the same sequence. I was out the door for $421 including tax and the coupon. Darn high local sales tax!
