Lovely image, Keith. An awesome bridge, too! Coming from a long exposure-aholic, I really like the short exposure here.

This is probably more computer artwork than photography, but I took it with a 5D and they started as photos, so oh well :)

My daughter and son were batgirl and batman this year, so why not make them into comic book images? :)

Another amazing bridge shot Bryan! I think that is my favorite one I've seen from you so far.

Here's another recent one.

Wow, thanks!! I'm not so sure, myself. Regardless, I'm still so far from what I've envisioned, but such is the curse of the landscape/cityscape photographer, I suppose. Wonderful shot yourself, sir!

thanks bryan, that means a lot coming from someone who consistantly produces epic long exposures :)

Ha, don't worry, autumn is great for a while, but eventually it gets too dark and wet to be enjoyable... and then comes winter, the worst season of them all.

Are you kidding? Winter is the most wonderful time of the year!

I'll bet it'd look absolutely magnificent when printed out large and put on a wall.

A good photographer can take extraordinary photos anywhere, with any camera and any lens while a mediocre one will take mediocre ones everywhere, with every camera and every lens.

I just got my 5Dc and was wondering if any of you shoot JPEG with it? The RAW images are amazing but for some reason I'm not liking my jpegs. I'll admit, Im a noob with this camera and maybe I need to tweak settings.

My guess is you don't do much post production work? Anyway, if you shoot JPEG, you need to be careful with your white balance settings. My guess is that is why you don't like how they look (color shifted due to being set to wrong lighting situation?).

i shoot RAW and small jpeg. RAW for when i want/have time to process the file to my own liking, and jpeg for when i need to get a shot uploded to something quickly and can't be bothered to process or haven't access to a computer with no editing software. for all the extra memory a small jpeg takes up it makes no difference to my memory card usage.

i have my jpeg profiles set up so that i have one or two that i will switch between, but for the most part they are just there in the background. the 5dc RAW files are a pleasure to work with and i'm never dissappointed by the results they produce. what RAW conversion software are you using? i use Adobe Camera Raw and have presets saved to suit my style of processing which soes most of the work for me but lets me adjust it as i see fit. Lightroom will do the same job, just in a slightly different way and both will produce excellent results if you spend a little time getting to know your way round them.

I find 5Dc JPEGs pretty conservative in their rendering - for instance, in Landscape I'll bump up contrast and saturation and sharpness from defaults...too tame for me.

You might consider doing something like this, as the files just don't seem very punchy SOOC if you're shooting defaul JPEG profiles.

Personally I do RAW in case I accidentally get a masterpiece or something :)

Shot a quick session with a Model Mayhem girld the other day. Nothing spectacular but oh well, haven't contributed in a while. Way out of my element here....C&C Welcome, never shot studio before.

I use LR3. Like I said, RAW is awesome to work with. I guess it is my SOOC jpeg settings. I did some tweaks and they are much better.
