^ the announcement should be about a high end the 4k video camera. movie theaters made a huge order of the new projectors and canon is releasing said product so that the theaters can take advantage of them. See link. it's not a surprise.

Isn't his name "Opie"?

I believe his name is "Mr. Howard" because he could buy / sell most of us before breakfast...

CANON! YOU'RE KILLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!
DONT GET ON THAT BANDWAGON!

Bandwagoning assumes this trend will die out eventually. Mirrorless is the future.

True, but I want mirrorless slr or atleast translucent tech like Sony. I don't want tiny mirrorless camera

I don't want a mirrorless slr if it means I have to live with an EVF. I hate EVFs. I like OVFs. If I want to stare at an LCD to take pictures I'll use the big one on the back.

He used to carry around gold bricks in the trunk of his car! That's not a joke!

Video cameras, my guess.

Canon Rumors also has some details on one of the possible announcements.

So this little gem starting popping up in inboxes around the industry... I love how vague they are, but here's to hoping on a 1Ds4 and a true 35mm video cameras with PL/EF mount @ 2k/3k on the same day...

SPECULATE!

1Ds4 isn't happening friend.

The 1DX replaces the D and Ds models.
