I'm thinking of getting a Canon 1Ds Mark II in early January.
I want to get a low light prime with this camera, anyone have any suggestions for low light, walk around, everyday use?

Oh I also have some questions,
If I go get a Canon 1Ds Mk II, what features will I be missing compared to new models of Canon's DSLR line apart from video and smaller 2.0'' LCD screen?

The most notables are LiveView & MicroFocusAdjust (That are missing on the 1dsII for me) being able to write jpgs to one card and raw to another is also a feature that wasn't yet implemented for the 1dsii compared to the iii.

Menus are a bit more awkward to navigate and you need to tether the camera via FireWire instead of the current USB connection found on most cameras.

I should note the 1dsii has alot of features not found in most dSLRS apart from the top of the lines, theres alot of features you don't get in a rebel.

Okay LiveView... don't use it.
Micro Focus Adjust... don't use it.
Menus.. will have to get used to for sure.

FireWire? Can that be found on new MacBook pros or Mac desktops?
Also thank you for your answer!

I uploaded a photo of these Machines back in September and went past today to see what has been happening. Looks like they´ve been banging away at the rocks for a while now but there´s still a lot of work to be done!

Probably the biggest thing for me is that the ISO isn't as capable as the newer models.

Some great shots on here as of late. Keep it up! A recent one from Moi
