Is it possible to lock a dvd-r files so that they cannot be copied to another disc or onto a computer but yet are read-only so that they can be opened and printed?

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, I know that everything can be broken by those who know what they are doing. I mean, I know billion dollar companies have their software copied but is there anyway to set something up like this that makes it difficult for those who do not know what they are doing?

With all the resources that the big corporations have available to them have so far they haven't been able stop this. If you can the picture on screen you can get a copy of it, plain and simple. One might be able to slow them down but at what cost do you want to do this. If you want it to be printable it is then printable to a file that is then free and clear of any of your constraints.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

You would think it would be pretty easy to write a program that would only allow a file to be viewed and printed. I mean, we have programs that can fly a space shuttle with pin point accuracy.

Oh well...

How would that help? People just wouldn't use that program. They would use a different program to access the disk or just copy the images/video off the disk altogether.
