need help repairing fade on a picture

How do I color correct a photo in photoshop when only part of the picture is discolored?

PHOTOBUCKET EMBEDDING IS DISABLED BY THIS MEMBER.
Photobucket sends ads instead of embedding photos from their free galleries.

Draw a box around the discolored area and make it a separate layer... Then make the adjustments on that layer... It looks like it's faded from being in a frame, so it should be easy enough to select the area that wasn't covered by the frame...

I took this and put into CS4 and played with it for a while, it appears that your only hope is B/W - The B/W looks pretty fair.

I can color correct any part but not both parts

Since you have image editing on... this is about 30 seconds worth of working at it... I'm not going to do all of the little details... just a rough example.. but.. it can be fixed relatively easily.

I haven't been around for a while but I had to give this one a shot. I ended up replacing the blue channel with the green, I had alot of trouble with the lips, they wanted to go red BIG time!
