Yes, here you go! :D

Firmware version 2.1.1 incorporates the following fixes and improvements.

Fixes a phenomenon where shooting stops after capturing one image when in continuous shooting or the Auto Exposure Bracketing (AEB) continuous shooting setting.
Corrects wording in the Dutch language menu screen.

The new Firmware Version 2.1.1 can be downloaded here:

I have updated the firmware on my 1Ds markii to the latest available version 1.1.6. I can now use 8Gig cards, can anybody tell me if I and use CF/SD cards of larger capacities? I dont want to buy a 16 and find that it is not recognized.

I just purchased a brand new 5D Mk2, however it came from Canon with the 2.08 firmware. Do I need to update to 2.1.1? Also I searched for a simple tutorial or procedure to upgrade and did not find it,,,probably me.

Jim. When you download the firmware all the instructions are clearly written. Make sure the battery is charged. Easy-peasy. Good luck and welcome.

Download file. Right click on it and Open With... Windows Explorer. Copy the .FIR file to the root of the CF. Put the CF in the camera. Follow instructions to update the f/w.

Good updating. It does work.

I don't know if the 5D is different from my 7D but the download for the 7D is actually and executable. Win7 see it as an application. Double clicking (launching) will create a folder and inside the folder is a .pdf with installation instructions and a .fir file.

5D2 has new firmware on the way... 2.1.1.

It is on the Canon website, but you can not download it yet. No word of the features/fixes yet either.

I was able to download it directly from Canon
http://www.usa.canon.com …ark_ii#DriversAndSoftware (external link)

or you can use this direct link to the Windows ZIP file:
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com …00454/01/5d2-v211-win.zip (external link)

Hope this helps.

NOTE: I have only extracted the files from the ZIP to confirm that the ZIP is good. I have NOT yet upgraded my 5D2.
