The Norfolk Southern Railroad ran an Office Car Special from Knoxville, TN to Asheville, NC and back on Saturday. Featuring their classic EMD F-9 ABBA on the head end and 16 gleaming burgundy, black and gold heavyweight coaches, railfans young and old had a storybook day. Clicking the above image takes you to a brief full screen slideshow. Thanks for looking.

Great slideshow! Is there anything more beautiful than an F-series locomotive? Very well done.

Thanks guys....there was a huge crowd of people following the train....shooting stills and video. I'm a bit surprised there haven't been any other posts here. I saw a couple of other forum members along the way. Did the slideshow display correctly for everyone?

Slideshow worked fine for me. I've seen a bunch of shots of this run on the rail sites I frequent, but I believe yours are the best I've seen.
