$300 less will get you the Tamron 10-24...I've been having a blast with it.
I like $300 less. However, I'm not real happy with my Tamron 28-300 on this camera. Maybe I've just not played with it enough but it seems to produce a softer, much nosier image than my Canon lenses. But that isn't necessarily a fair comparison since I'm comparing the 50mm 1.4 and 100 2.8 primes against the same settings on the Tamron zoom.
Maybe I'll rent the Tamron lens and play with it for a week before making a purchase.
Question: I just checked on the above lens and saw this:
"The Tamron SP AF10-24mm f/3.5 -4.5 Di II is an ultra wide-angle zoom lens. Di II means that is designed for exclusive use on digital SLR cameras with smaller-size imagers (APS-C/DX). Boasting a focal length range of 10 - 24mm, (the 35mm equivalent of 16mm to 37mm) this lens has a varied range of applications for creating dramatic images as it features both ultra-wide and semi-wide angle settings."
Shouldn't a lens designed for the APS-C sensor give the same POV as a lens designed for a full frame??? I thought that was why the lens were designed that way.
