Another proof for the great quality of 15-85. Taken from an shaky airplane through the terrible window.

I bought my 15-85mm about 6 months ago treating it and my X4 as religious objects. They were to be worshiped and not used. Well that was the case until recently... The reviews are right they are awesome! The photos were shot handheld, indoors on a winter afternoon at ISO 200.

The 15-85 is my workhorse. Lately it's been getting used a lot on trains. I have no complaints about sharpness on my copy.

^^

I also use my 70-200 4L IS for trains. Great combo between it and the 15-85 for rail work. To delete hit "edit," then in the bottom right you should see a button labeled "delete." You'll have to confirm the delete and it will ask for a reason, but you don't have to give one, then hit delete again and it should be gone.

Aahhhh, that worked, thanks! And I couldn't agree more about the great combination of these two lens.

Would you guys get this or the Sigma 17-50mm? The Sigma seems to have better IQ, anyone agree?

haven't used the sigma but the range on this with the IS and USM (real USM unlike the sigma) is easily worth it. Some of the best IQ i've gotten out of lenses is from the 15-85. If you dont NEED f/2.8 this is your lens
