The back light is good but I think they need more light on the face. And the closer the portrait the more distracting foreground OOF items can be. I find these to be very distracting for some otherwise really quite nice images.

Agree with Titus, but I think with more fill lighting on her face these would be lovely!

Image #2 really works....the others don't do much for me. I suspect it has to do with the fact that she is engaging the camera in 2 and not the others.

If you're going to shoot at f/1.8, you need to make sure you nail the eyes. Lots of stuff will be out of focus at this aperture. If you don't get the eyes, you don't have keepers.
