Upgraded my SD850IS (still works great) with an S95. Love the pix quality of the
S95, features, and overall build. The blowout price twisted my arm!

Congrats! The S95 is a nice looking camera and a fantastic price right now. I was very tempted to buy one cause then I could use it right away but already had my heart set on the S100.

I noticed you have SLR's as well...I have a 7D and Xti. Both the S95 and S100 will be nice
additions.

yes I am getting tired of dragging around the gear for casual outings so the S series I think was the best choise (I have an old ELPH S200 and an ELPH SD700IS which are OK for outdoor shots, but lacking in IQ in any other light, and manual controls are a pain to use). I thought about the G series but if I'm going to carry a flash around then it's almost the same size as my 30D in a small bag so I went with the S100 instead. Hoping it will be worth the nearly $500 (duty+tax to Canada).

I played with a S95 in the store and the controls are really fun to play with, especially the ring on the front of the lens!

Have also been thinking of buying an S95. Some reviews I've read mentioned there's a delay when changing settings, how bad is it? None of the stores around me have one on display. Did play with a G12, didn't notice any lag. Love the SLR style controls but it's not pocketable. The SX230HS is borderline pocketable.

My son got one earlier this year as a gift from me and has loved it, especially for the video capabilities. I got him a small case for it so his wife can carry it in her purse.
