Grandson on Thanksgiving

Not sure how I can improve on this pic...but know that you out there know what I could of done better brand new at this...this is my first DSLR and I simply love it. I learn more everyday on this site. Should I've of got more blur in the backgroud? All of his head? Thanks for all and any input and I mean any input

The big red toy in the background is distracting. No amount of blur would have made that better. Moving it would.

That color is pink. You might wanna calibrate your monitor

red pink whatever. My monitor is calibrated

Don't direct flash when possible, bounce the flash if you have an external flash.
